The Government of Ontario is making EV fast charging stations more convenient and accessible to electric car owners. The stations will be installed at all 20 newly renovated ONroute stops along the 400 and 401.

Each ONroute will be equipped with at least two EV chargers, with busier stops equipped with more. The chargers will be available to all drivers on a pay-per-use basis and will be compatible with all vehicle types.

This initiative will build on the government’s Driving Prosperity plan, which will create an EV battery ecosystem in the province and will position Ontario as an automatic innovation hub in North America.
